We are happy to assist you by delivering your purchases whether you buy online or in the Garden Centre.
At the moment we deliver to the following postcodes – DE3, DE11, DE13, DE22, DE23. If you are outside this area feel free to give us a call. We may be able to help.
Delivery is free for purchases over £25 and there is a £5 charge for smaller purchases.
Giving someone a plant or shrub for their home or garden is a most thoughtful gift.
Why not instead give them a Markeaton Garden Centre gift voucher? They start from as little as £5.00 and can be purchased in the Centre or be posted to the lucky recipient.

We are passionate about Christmas at Markeaton Garden Centre! Each year we stock up with over 1,000 trees of varying types and sizes so we guarantee you will find exactly what you are looking for.
Our range of Christmas decorations and accessories is legendary, and our Christmas Store is a wonder to behold for old and young alike.

The Potting Shed Café
Following it’s opening in 2016, The Potting Shed has proved to be a very popular draw in its own right although not many customers leave without buying a plant or two!
Choose to sit inside or out depending on the weather and don’t forget that we have a dedicated dog-friendly area for our canine friends!
We serve an extensive range of teas, coffees and soft drinks. Our food menu has everything from light bites to breakfasts, delicious hot meals to afternoon teas. And our homemade cakes are legendary!
Why not sample a hearty full English breakfast or gather with friends to enjoy one of our delicious Afternoon Teas?

Hanging Baskets
Get Your Very Own Bespoke Hanging Baskets from Markeaton Garden Centre.
We have been producing hand-made, bespoke hanging baskets for many years.
We use only the highest quality plants, and composts. You can either bring your own baskets to be refilled or order a brand we one.
To order your hanging basket, just give us a call on 01332 292554
Once the hanging baskets are made up, they are hung up in the greenhouse for a while to establish themselves. The customer can then collect their basket.
We usually begin to take orders in March, and customers tend to pick up around June time.
A Little About Markeaton's Suppliers
Our suppliers are carefully chosen, for the quality of product and reliability.
Wherever possible we try to source our supplies locally, as we believe it important to support other local family run businesses.
Mark our bedding plant supplier, produces the best in the whole of the midlands, his quality is superb and the prices are great for the quality.
Tom is one of the finest growers of perennial plants. The nursery just a few miles away, was the first in the UK to grow the magnificent Pacific Delphiniums, and the have progressed to now produce a range or plants that are both stunningly attractive and have excellent garden performance. Look out for Tom’s Collections in out shop. He has put together small selections to inspire you and make you garden look spectacular.
Important Coach Trips Notice
Sadly, this year due to COVID-19 we have no trips planned, but hopefully that situation will soon change.
Coach Trips
Every year at Markeaton Garden Centre we organise coach trips to visit some of the major Flower Shows up and down the country.
Previous visits have included Chelsea, Harrogate, Tatton Park and our favourite, Malvern.
